Anderson Cooper-Approved: Bird Poop for Puffy Eyes
They say a bird pooping on you is good luck, but if you ask SpaFinder® Wellness partner Shizuka New York Day Spa in New York City, it has a lot more benefits than a four-leaf clover.
On a recent episode Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show, “Anderson Live,” guest Jill Martin lightly painted a special cream under Cooper’s eyes to rid him of his under-eye bags. This special concoction was that of none other than Shizuka’s “Geisha Facial.” Special ingredient? Hold your breath: bird poop.
Check out the hilarity that ensues:
While skin lightening is just beginning to gain traction in the U.S., it’s been the beauty norm in Asian countries for years. In early years, the paler your complexion the better your social status, so women would often go to great lengths to keep their skin light and out of the sun. Geishas in Japan were known to use uguisu no fun (powdered nightingale droppings) to keep their porcelain skin, an ingredient now used in The Geisha Facial® at Shizuka New York Day Spa to lighten and brighten skin.
