In the past we’ve treated readers to last-minute Halloween makeup tutorials and healthy Halloween recipes, and now we want to share a couple of DIY mask ideas perfect for this holiday—spa treatment masks, that is! If you’re not trick-or-treating tonight or your skin simply needs a pick-me-up following a late-night Halloween party, treat yourself to these two fall-inspired masks you can make at home. No tricks, we promise.
Hydrating Pumpkin Facial Mask from The Lodge at Woodloch’s Treatments Manager Amanda Clabaugh
2 tablespoons cooked or canned pumpkin puree
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon chia seeds
½ teaspoon coconut milk
Mix all ingredients together and place in the refrigerator for one day. Apply to skin and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Orange Spice Foot Mask from The Lodge at Woodloch’s Treatments Manager Amanda Clabaugh
1/2 cup whole oats
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 tablespoons warm water
1 teaspoon oil of choice
1 tablespoon honey
½ fresh ginger, peeled and grated
¼ cup orange juice
Mix all ingredients and apply to feet. Leave on for 10 minutes to gently soften and warm feet.
