Get Your Skin Ready for Summer with Bluemercury’s La Mer Sculpting Facial

I think we can all agree that nothing throws our delicate skin out of whack quite as much as the radical change in temperature between seasons but there is a solution! Going for a facial during these seasonal transitions can help to keep your skin looking and feeling its best and recently we took our own advice and visited our Union Square neighbor, Bluemercury for their featured seasonal treatment: the La Mer Sculpting Facial. The 50-minute facial ($95) which is available through June 30 at select Bluemercury spa locations nationwide, uses ocean-inspired La Mer products to help tighten, firm, and smooth away the dull skin many of us have left over from this brutal winter! Our experience began with our esthetician Meredith giving us a proper skin analysis to identify our skin type followed by a deep cleansing and a great smelling exfoliation. Meredith then used a light cream to give our skin a gentle facial massage and continued the soothing, relaxing movements on our arms, hands, and shoulders. She then helped our skin glow with a few light extractions and subsequent calming lotion to keep redness and inflammation at bay and followed this with a firming serum applied with another gentle facial massage. Up next was the star of the treatment, a cooling and refreshing firming mask which was applied to the skin with a brush. After 15 minutes, Meredith rubbed the remainder of the product into our skin with another light facial massage to allow it to truly penetrate and work its magic for the remainder of the day. The facial finished with a La Mer eye cream, soothing lip gloss, and an SPF application leaving our skin feeling clear, radiant, and ready for summer!
