Currently Craving: Spa Heroes Skin-Care Subscription
Who doesn’t love a hero—make that a superhero to be exact? We sure do, which is why we’re currently craving Spa Heroes, a skin-care subscription service with the mission of rescuing skin from the evil villains that may be potentially hazardous.
Spa Heroes helps to simplify beauty routines: Every month delivered to a subscriber’s door is a box presenting a full-sized skin, hair, and body spa product—non-toxic and cruelty-free, made from “superpowers” like argan, coconut, and avocado oils, hyaluronic acid, and Vitamin C and devoid of “villain” ingredients (parabens, propylene glycol, etc.).
Each product—available for $39 per month (retail values have ranged anywhere from $45 to $80 since the subscription service launched last year)—has been evaluated and approved by the company’s panel of spa experts, dubbed “superheroes” (which includes Alicia Howell, executive spa director at The Spa Ballantyne; Brennan Evans, managing director of Well & Being Spa at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess; and Shannon Stringert, director of spa, salon, and fitness at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas; the company’s founder is Jeannie Jarnot). Subscribers will also appreciate expert tips, instructions on how to use the product, why it’s beneficial to the skin, its list of ingredients, and more. Other elements in the beauty box comprise a 15 percent discount to the online Spa Heroes store, exclusive product and spa discounts, and a complimentary pocket guide complete with “superpower” and “villain” skin-care ingredient information (you can also request a guide via email).
A heroic effort, indeed.
