Good Karma: SpaRitual Steps Up to Help Young Girls Reach Their Potential

One of our very favorite beauty brands at Spafinder Wellness 365, SpaRitual, is no stranger to giving back to the community. In fact, giving back is encompassed in one of the pillars in SpaRitual’s Slow Beauty Philosophy. So while we weren’t surprised to hear of the latest partnership with Step Up, a non-profit that inspires women to inspire girls to fulfill their potential, we were eager to learn more!

The organization empowers young women aged 13-18 from under-resourced and often overlooked communities to become confident, college-bound, and career-minded. It does this by focusing on the emotional skills girls need to become successful in today’s workplace and on breaking the cycle of poverty. Step Up helps to foster inquisitiveness, resilience, and the ability to clearly communicate. Step Up believes that mentorship can plan a huge role in ending the high school dropout crisis for good. Though its after-school and mentorship programs, Step Up introduces young girls to professional women across various industries who’ve made positive choices in their lives, have gone after their dreams, and who can set an inspiring example. For the last five years, 100 percent of seniors in the Step Up program have both graduated from high school and have been accepted to college!
