CLAY Health Club + Spa: NYC’s CLAY Health Club’s summer 2013 rooftop fitness series, from mid-June through September, include: highBARRE, a blend of classical dance, Pilates, yoga, isometrics, and “funk” (Mondays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.); sunset yoga (Tuesdays, 7:30-8:45 p.m.); sunrise yoga (Wednesdays, 7:00-8:00 a.m.); and the cardio-meets-resistance-training H.E.A.T. (Wednesdays, 6:30-7:30 p.m.).
Club Fitness NY: This gym in Astoria showcases a designated spin section on its roof so you can cycle alfresco while enjoying the city views.
Hotel Palomar Chicago : Barre Bee Fit classes—a fusion of yoga and Pilates—are held on the hotel’s poolside terrace, high above Chicago on floor 17.
Hotel Palomar San Diego: The hotel’s weekly “Kundalini & Martini’s – Yoga” classes take place on the SummerSalt rooftop pool lounge and are set to high-energy music spun from an on-site DJ.
Inner Peace Pilates: Start your day off right with a sunrise yoga class at this West Dundee, Illinois, studio.
The Shed: This Minneapolis-based fitness studio boasts a lineup of classes—BodyPump to spin to power yoga—on the rooftop patio, weather permitting.
VIDA Fitness: This gym franchise—with five locations throughout Washington, D.C.—features rooftop cycling classes at its U Street location.
