Good Karma: The Northern Michigan Spa Tour to Benefit Women’s Resource Center
In this month’s Good Karma we’re highlighting the Northern Michigan Spa Tour, where seven participating spas have joined forces for the Grand Traverse Women’s Resource Center, an organization dedicated to ending domestic and sexual violence.
Kicking off on October 4, the seven participating spas (see below!) are partnering with Bowers Harbor Vineyards, Chateau Grand Traverse and Peninsula Cellars for a night of food, wine and spa to benefit the Women’s Resource Center. From 6-9 p.m., guests will enjoy complimentary spa treatments, food samplings, wine tastings and a raffle for a chance to win a grand prize of a night’s stay and spa treatment at each resort and spa. The event occurs at the following locations: Bowers Harbor, Peninsula Cellars and Chateau Grand Traverse, all located on Old Mission Peninsula and tickets are $30 in advance, or $35 at the door. This great evening is the third major fundraising event organized by the Northern Michigan Spa Tour, whose mission is to inspire health and wellbeing while growing the spa industry through education and philanthropy.
The good karma continues with a week of fundraising from October 8-14, and locals and visitors can book their appointments at the following spas to participate:
- Crystal Spa at Crystal Mountain Resort, Thompsonville
- Oasis Salon and Spa at Riverwalk Place, Gladwin
- Solace Spa at Boyne Mountain, Boyne Falls
- Spa Grand Traverse at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, Acme
- The Spa at Shanty Creek Resorts, Bellaire
- The Spa at The Inn at Bay Harbor – A Renaissance Golf Resort, Bay Harbor
- Treetops Spa at Treetops Resort, Gaylord
For each 50-minute or longer treatment, the participating spas will donate $5 to the Grand Traverse Women’s Resource Center. The Center’s mission is to end domestic and sexual violence by providing direct services and working with other community agencies to provide support, counseling, education, housing and advocacy for victims of domestic and sexual violence in the Grand Traverse area.
Tickets for the Wine & Spa Tour can be purchased by contacting Women’s Resource Center at (231) 941-1210 or online at spatour.org. All proceeds will be donated to benefit Women’s Resource Center.
