Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat Recipe: Tahini Balls
Aptly placed in the “Celebration” section of Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat’s cookbook, … from garden to gourmet, these tahini balls are a real pick-me-up snack in the afternoon or evening.
Tahini, a paste made from ground sesame seeds, is easily digestible, even for those with stomach issues. And while it is rich in calcium and full of nutrients like a complex of B vitamins, it’s also a fairly calorie-dense food, which is why this recipe calls for light tahini. You can find it in Middle Eastern and Indian grocery stores, or possibly in the international foods aisle of conventional grocery stores, depending on where you’re located.
Perfectly small and bite-sized, these treats are ideal to hand out after dinner or during a holiday party. Celebrate with something sweet, Gwinganna-style!
