Announcing the spa winners…..tonight!

This is an exciting day for me. Tonight we get to announce the winners of Spa Finder’s 2006 Readers’ Choice Awards. The champagne reception is at the Cornelia Day Resort here in New York later today, and winners have flown in from all over the world to pick up their Crystal Globe Awards.

It’s the closest thing to the Academy Awards for the spa world. Not only do we honor our readers’ favorite spas on each continent (those are the Crystal Globe Award winners) but we also reveal the favorite spa by country. Moreover, what makes our awards so unique is that we reveal the top ten readers’ favorites in specific spa categories such as: Best for Hiking, Best for Yoga, Best Spa Cuisine, Most Affordable, Most Romantic, etc.

A press release announcing the winners goes out Tuesday and our website will have all the winners displayed on that day as well. (We decided not to announce on 9/11 in deference to the more important news and memory of the day.)

But I will post the winners on my blog this evening, so that anyone who is loyal enough to read the musings on my blog will be the first to know!
