Make Me Over: Illamasqua Launches Generation Q
Bold makeup lovers can now color themselves beautiful, care of Illamasqua’s brand new makeup collection Generation Q. Based on the belief that “beauty has no age limits” (and shouldn’t that be everyone’s belief?), Generation Q is a celebration of beauty and a declaration to the world that beauty is inclusive and not exclusive. According to the brand’s site “beauty is not young, old, black, white, male or female, but anything, everything and everyone.”
The British beauty brand with a cult following has come a long way from its start across the pond in 2008. The brand was born out of inspiration from the dark and illicit 1920s club scene and alternative cultures – places where people dared to be dramatic and release their alter ego.
Spooky side note: Illamasqua, together with Leverton & Sons, family funeral directors for more than 220 years, collaborated to launch a program? Final Act of Self-Expression, where makeup lovers who have passed away can have a final beauty ritual, a celebration of their life and their last glamorous look.
As for Generation Q, the new line follows suit with Illamasqua’s others with dynamic tones, textures and finishes. All products and colors where formulated irrespective of age, race, gender or sexual preference, giving everyone the tools to express their alter ego.
