Twas an Old-Fashioned from The Epicurean Hotel, Tampa, FL
1 sugar cube (or bar spoon of simple syrup)
2 dash Angostura Bitters
1.75 oz Henry McKenna Bonded Bourbon
.25 oz Birkir Birch Snaps
Muddle sugar cube and bitters in a mixing glass.
Add bourbon and snaps.
Stir with ice to chill and dilute.
Strain over fresh ice.
Garnish with an orange peel studded with cloves.
Another option:
Tito’s Mojito from Turnberry Isle Miami’s CORSAIR restaurant by Chef Scott Conant
This drink is great for those who prefer gluten-free cocktails!
It’s a vodka-based mojito as opposed to the original rum mojito. Tito’s vodka is gluten-free and out of Austin, Texas.
