Currently Craving: Summer Nail Polishes
Currently Craving: Summer Nail Polishes
Summer is the time to embrace bright and bold nail colors and we think we’ve found some of the very best. Check out our three picks for summer nail polishes we’re currently craving plus a must-have item for lacquer lover!
Scotch Naturals: Not all Scotch is an Acquired Taste
Scotch Naturals WaterColorsTM is one of our newest faves when it comes to eco-friendly nail polish! The water-based formula helps to condition nails and is 100% free of all phthalates, parabens, solvents (ethyl acetate and butyl acetate), nitrocellulose, acetone, and heavy metals.
This summer we’re addicted to Scotch (Naturals that is!) We’re loving Blimey (a vibrant chartreuse), So Little Time (a shimmering lilac), Wildflower (a bright tangerine), and Stiletto (a bold pink-red cream).
Scotch Naturals WaterColors, 41 shades; $14.99 each scotchnaturals.com
Priti NYC: Bahamas Collection
Priti NYC polishes are 5-Free, Vegan, and completely non-toxic and just as the name suggests the hues they carry are so unbelievably pretty. So we weren’t shocked when we tried, and subsequently fell in love with the summer Bahamas Collection.
This creamy summer collection includes City Girl Rose (an orange creamsicle color that’s my personal favorite), Scotch Thistle (a muted teal that will carry you from summer straight into fall), Hedgehog Rose (a bright coral), and Baby Blue Eyes (a perfect periwinkle blue).
Priti NYC Bahamas Collection; on sale: $27.99 for all four pritinyc.com
Ciaté:Very Colourfoil Manicure Kit Kaleidoscopic Klash
Inspired by London’s colorful urban streets, Ciaté’s Very Colourfoil manicure kit helps you to create an edgy, fun, metallic graffiti look on your nails. The kit comes with one Pepperminty Nail Polish (which I’ve totally rocked on its own!), and
30 Metallic Foil Sheets in 6 Shades, Foil Fix Glue, and a nail wheel.
To use just apply two coats of the paint pot base and allow to dry and then get creative! Dot a light coat of Foil Fix Glue onto the nail where you want the foil to show, allow the white adhesive to become clear, and then pick your Colourfoil shade and repeat until you have the desired look. Seal it all in with a clear top coat and you’re good to go!

Liquid Palisade: THE Must-Have For Messy DIY Manicurists
A lot of beauty products come across my desk and when I find one that wows me I have to shout it from the rooftops and Liquid Palisade has wow-factor to spare. I love nail polish and own oodles of it but I’m not the neatest when it comes to keeping it on my nails and off my skin, enter Liquid Palisade and my at-home messy manis are a thing of the past.
Liquid Palisade is a paint-on barrier that protects and covers your cuticles and skin from nail polish mishaps. You simply paint it on around the nail, the lavender color gets darker as it dries, then paint on your polish of choice, and peel off the Liquid Palisade barrier leaving you with the perfect polish application! You can also use it for creating French Manicures and nail art – just apply Liquid Palisade wherever you don’t want polish, apply polish as usual, and peel away!
Ciaté:Corrupted Neon Manicure Kit
Ciaté makes the list twice – and with good reason. The Corrupted Neon Manicure kits are basically my newest obsession. Not only do you get some of the best and brightest when it comes to neon shades, the kit comes with matching glitter, and the best part of all – a black light top coat that ensures a glow under UV lights (aka this is perfect for anyone who likes to hit the clubs!)
