International Day of Happiness: Uplift Your Spirits With This Mood-Boosting Tea Recipe
In an effort to make the world a happier and more connected place, the United National General Assembly established the International Day of Happiness, a global celebration happening today! You can celebrate now by whipping up this uplifting tea recipe from Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort located in the world’s happiest nation, Fiji.
What you’ll need:
8 sprigs lemongrass (approx 2 – 3 sticks per sprig)
3 lemon leaves or slices
8 sprigs mint leaves
1 small wedge of lime
1 teaspoon honey
3 cups boiling water
What you’ll do:
1. Fill a small teapot with the boiling water
2. Lightly crush the lemongrass strands and mint leaves and add to the tea pot
3. Add the lemon leaves/slices and squeeze the juice from the lime into the pot
4. Stir in the honey
5. Let steep for up to 1 hour
6. Refrigerate and serve chilled
