St. Patrick’s Day: Go Green Recipes to Celebrate the Healthy Way
St. Patrick’s Day is just a week away and with it, as we all have come to know, is a plethora of green beer, paired with greasy foods, and more often than not, bad decisions. But before you go to kill that keg or throw back an unhealthy amount of carbs and calories, think about swapping out the brews for juice (and smoothies)! Green juice is a healthy, and non-hangover-inducing way to enjoy a festively appropriate colorful beverage this St. Patty’s, completely guilt-free! Here are some of our favorite green recipes and if you just have to infuse some adult beverages into your day, a green cocktail-inspired treatment that is a must!)

The Verde Valley from Mii amo Spa
½ hot house cucumber
3 stalks of celery
About 1 cup each of spinach & kale
1 green apple
Juice in a juicer or blend in a high-powered blender!
Editor’s Note: On March 1, Mii amo added a very exciting new offering to their programming: Juicing 101! The Verde Valley is just one of the new juices they’ll be teaching guests not only how to make, but also the benefits of each ingredient! You’ll learn how to blend various veggies for best flavor, different ways to juice, and suggested juicers and blenders best for the home juicer! Juicing 101 Instructor Sari Aboulafia, says of The Verde Valley, “It is chock full of antioxidants, vitamins, and is a great morning boost. It is a simple and delicious way to drink your salad. The apple adds just a touch of sweetness to balance the kale and spinach. This is also a very hydrating juice. The Verde Valley juice just gives me an overall sense of well-being.”
