There’s no going back to the you before the relationship, that girl is gone. It is good to remember her, keep all the things about her you loved and reimagine who you are now. The relationship, now over, did cause you to grow in someway. You were vulnerable, you did run with your heart not your head and you can glean a lot from that situation. Identify the characteristics about yourself that you loved about you in the relationship, so you can carry on with those presently.
Get to Know Yourself
It’s time for self examination and introspection. Chances are you might be in grieving mode. While you release those emotions, kickstart a workout routine. Working out puts a physiological demand on your body to release endorphins which will help your mental state during this time.
In addition to working out, find other activities that will reset your mood. Like to dance? Go dancing. Like to paint, write, cook? Find a class. Socializing with like minded people can bring you comfort.

Whether you reconnect with old friends or develop new friendships, remember friends will help to mend your heart. Differences aside, many of us have had a broken heart and can empathize with each other on this level. Nurture those relationships; have dinner together, workout together, go for drinks. hit the beach or yoga. Now is the time to build and reinforce these relationships.

Girlfriends, single friends specifically, are ready to go somewhere to hang out, shop, spa and create memories in a heartbeat. Plan a trip to different locations to explore all kinds of activities. It’s time to lean in with your friends and make some bad decisions.
