New treatments to try at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Miami
Amidst the sizzle of Miami’s trendy scene, the Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, has become its own hot spot. Celebrated as the city’s only five-star spa, it flawlessly melds a tranquil, luxury escape with its own chic setting against the sophisticated Miami backdrop.
The tri-level spa, housed within the contemporary Mandarin Oriental, Miami, on Brickell Key, has 17 treatment rooms, six of which are VIP Suites with spectacular bay views. Separate men’s and women’s sauna and steam areas, a full-service fitness center, boutique, and outdoor massage cabanas complete the 15,000-square-foot spa. Spa interiors stylishly infuse subtle signature Mandarin Oriental design elements—bamboo, rice paper, glass decor, and natural linens—to create an oasis of mystique and harmony.
The spa’s international, holistic-inspired menu recently introduced three exotic treatments, mixing a bit of Floridian flair with bespoke staples such as the Oriental Harmony.
Bespoke spa therapy: Oriental Essence
The tailored Oriental Essence massage combines Oriental meridian techniques with “Quintessence” custom-blended oil; developed specifically for Mandarin Oriental by Aromatherapy Associates, the oil is derived from warming ginger, uplifting mandarin, and sacred frankincense. The treatment begins with a consultation between spa-goer and therapist.
Rhythm is gonna get you: Latin Rhythms Spa Package
This spa package embodies the city’s Latin beat. Begin the day with a private samba class, then get your wellbeing in tune with a refreshing lime-and-mint exfoliation and a citrus-infused hot stone massage. A spa mojito cocktail and healthful Latin-Asian bento box lunch served poolside ends the day on a good note.
Turning up the heat: Sun Ritual
Designed to nourish sun-bronzed skin (from a day on Miami’s beautiful beaches, we bet!) the Sun Ritual treatment cocoons guests with healing aloe and Vitamin E oil and cooling banana leaves. A facial massage utilizes healing rose quartz, concluding with a scalp massage and application of cooling lavender balm. The best part? The treatment incorporates natural ingredients from the tropics.
