“The resort was founded in 1872 as a pure and grand hotel,” says Hans-Peter Veit, current spa manager for the majestic Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa, which has been located for the past 139 years next to the Lichtentaler Allee, a gorgeous arboretum and park in the spa town of Baden-Baden, Germany.
While Brenners Park still continues in a tradition of old-world luxury, its clients have greatly changed over the years, Veit says. “Twenty-five years ago not only did most guests come from Germany—followed next by Americans—but they also just came to have a spa experience during their holidays,” he explains.
A Holistic Approach
“Now 66 percent of our guests come from outside Germany; Russia, Gulf Cooperation Council States (GCC), and U.S.A, and spa is a part of our guest’s life,” he continues. “They go to their cosmetician, personal trainer, massage therapist all year round and not only on holiday. The consumer of today prefers more and more treatments that have real results as well as a holistic approach in programs.”

To that end, Brenners is internationally known as an excellent spa for weight-loss programs and nutrition coaching, as well as medical services, such as environmental and nutritional medicine, vitamin therapy, exercise programs and prevention check-ups where guests experience a two-day comprehensive medical examination meant to provide them with a detailed understanding of their current state of health.
Award-Winning Cuisine
Fine dining at Brenners is still as fine as it ever was.
How else has Brenners transformed to better serve its ever-evolving clientele? Its menus now cater more specifically to varying guests. “In 2006 we opened three restaurants instead of one big one to fulfill different needs and wishes: spa cuisine, a gourmet restaurant, and so on,” Veit says. “In 2010 we received our second Michelin Star for our Park-Restaurant.”
Guests can also take advantage of customized spa cuisine created to meet their needs based on their body and nutrition analysis. Individual meals comprising breakfast, a three-course lunch menu, and a three-course evening meal are offered.
Looking ahead, Brenners will continue to specialize in weight loss and medical spa services in general, and strive to be among the industry leaders in these fields.
