Today’s Spa Spotlight is on Miami’s Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach and its fabulous Acqualina Spa By ESPA! Known for its nightlife, beaches, and beautiful people, Miami Beach, Florida is a mecca for people who know how to have a good time and Acqualina, is definitely the place to stay!
The resort and spa is located on 4.5 beachfront acres with 400 feet of Florida’s stunning Atlantic Ocean coastline, and features 188 residences, 98 gorgeously appointed hotel rooms and suites, as well as world-class luxury hotel amenities, including three oceanfront restaurants, three oceanfront swimming pools, and an innovative marine biology-based children’s program. It’s no wonder they’ve won the 2013 Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award!
The 51-story Mediterranean-style tower is a nod to the city’s classic 1950s-era hotels and at its heart is the two-story, 20,000-square-foot Acqualina Spa By ESPA, the brand’s U.S. flagship. Guests to the two-level ESPA at Acqualina are greeted with a cool, scented towel, and a mini smoothie, and are led to the hydrotherapy facilities to jump-start their spa experience. These facilities include a gorgeous tiled circular crystal steam room, a dry Finnish sauna, and the nautilus-shape experience shower (with color therapy and aromatherapy). Pre- or post-treatment guests can lounge on one of the daybeds in the relaxation lounge
One of the benchmarks of an ESPA spa are the highly trained staff. Each therapist is certified in both massage and aesthetics, so guests can enjoy relaxing in one room for each of their treatments by one therapist. As a result, treatments move seamlessly from scrubs and wraps to massage and holistic facials. Rituals are booked by length of time, and the particulars are decided upon with the therapist at the start of the session. One such ritual is the spas newest, the “Ultimate Spa Package for Two”. It includes one spa lunch for two, four 50-minute ESPA body or facial treatments, signature in-room welcome amenity, and internet access starting at $500/night for an Intracoastal Room. This package is available now through December 19, 2013 with a minimum night stay requirement of three nights.
