Red Mountain Resort – Ivins, Utah
Summer adventure awaits at Red Mountain Resort. Here guests can enjoy new experiences like the Lava Tube Hike, a two-hour, two-mile hike fit for even beginner hikers! During the trek participants will hike through an ancient cave that was formed by underground flowing lava. What’s more? The hike takes place at sunset making for some truly spectacular views. In addition to this new hike, guests can enjoy new workshops including the 50-minute Kettlebell Essentials Workshop and the Core 20 and Cardio Express, 20-minute workouts based on the principles of HIIT.
Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa – San Diego, California
Offering an incredible tennis program as well as a full range of fitness classes including spin, Pilates, and TRX, Rancho Valencia is an excellent destination for a fitness traveler. Take one of the property’s monthly yoga workshops in the 1,000-square-foot Serenity Yoga Pavilion. Each month features a different topic and during each workshop Yoga Director Anna Spalding offers various tips on yoga, mind, and body. After every fitness class enjoy a complimentary cold-pressed juice or protein shake.
The Resort at Paws Up – Greenough, Montana
This summer, guests staying at Paws Up July 8-12 can take a special Mind, Body Equine class, taught by yoga instructor and life-skills teacher Cathy Woods, to learn how to use yoga to improve horsemanship! Based on the philosophy that yoga and horsemanship require you to be present in the moment, aware of your body and your surroundings, the class takes place both in the saddle and on the mat.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort – Teton Village, Wyoming
Teaming up with running coach and elite mountain runner Eric Orton, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is hosting its second annual Running Camp. Designed for experienced runners looking to take their skills to the next level, this 3-day camp offers world class terrain, personalized training, trail running, mountain amenities, and more. Studio Anjali at The Westin Riverfront – Avon, Colorado
Take your yoga practice outside this summer with Studio Anjali’s new Yoga in Motion series. Offered Fridays from 7-8:15am beginning June 5 and going through August 28, this new program is taught by the spa’s Yoga Lead, Tanya Miller. The class starts off with a 55-minute outdoor, guided mindfulness walk followed by 20 minutes of Hatha Yoga.
Ananda in the Himalayas – Uttaranchal, India
Ananda has partnered with New Dehli-based SUMAYA, where the core focus is personal training, to create new bespoke fitness programming for guests. New one-on-one personal training programs for guests will help them achieve their goals and address any personal concerns. Starting in June, each of the destination spa’s wellness programs will include a fitness consultation with a SUMAYA certified expert to assess an individual’s fitness levels and needs. From there a customized plan will be created using Ananda’s practices of Ayurveda, yoga, and meditation.
