From the Sparchives: Susie, Sam and Golden Door Spa

This edition of From the Sparchives hits close to home since it features SpaFinder® Wellness’ very own Susie Ellis.

Taken in 1974 in San Marcos, California, during one of the original Golden Door’s men’s weeks, the photo shows Susie and Sam, the head of the men’s week gym, “clowning around” for the camera. Sam had won a body-building competition, and the photographer suggested he do a push up with Susie on his back. The rest is photographic history!
