Spa Tapas, Anyone? Mini Treatments Hit the Menu at The Viceroy Zihuatanejo

There’s no denying that if you take a spa treatment and surround it by a breathtaking beachfront view, you instantly have the ultimate spa experience imaginable! Luckily, The Viceroy Zihuatanejo in Zihuatanejo, Mexico has recently combined the two luxuries of spa treatments and beautiful beaches into one unforgettable experience for its guests. The resort is notorious for its stunning beach and on-the-sand services. Because of this, the resort has brought its spa to the famous La Ropa beach in order to enhance guests’ experiences by creating ‘Spa Tapas’ and offering lavish mini treatments in the brand new Spa Palapa! 

Spa Palapa is newly-launched and offers a complete treatment room (right on the sand, of course!) with curtains if privacy is desired.  The spa is open seven days a week from 9 a.m to 5 p.m, allowing guests the ability to choose from a wide range of massage therapies. The resort also has a new ‘Pre-Hispanic Healing Massage’ that combines ancient medicinal herbs to promote renewal and revitalization to the body.

The Spa Tapas menu at Spa Palapa has a selection of 10-15 minute mini spa treatments, including:

•   15-minute Back Massage: applies medium pressure and light stretching, accompanied by percussion and kneading.

•   15-minute Head Massage:  uses pressure points in the neck, shoulders and scalp to relieve stress.

•   15-minute Foot Massage:  uses treatment points to stimulate reflexes in the feet.

•   10-minute Hand Massage:  stimulates the reflex points on the hands.
