Virtual Vacation: Take a Holiday from Technology with Four Seasons Costa Rica
Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica has partnered with customizable iPhone case company Uncommon on a “Disconnect to Reconnect” campaign designed to help guests of the resort reconnect with loved ones, nature and even themselves.
Guests who want to partake in the program hand in their iPhone to Four Seasons Costa Rica, which keeps it for 24 hours or more in a safe deposit box. Upon return, guests receive one of four custom iPhone covers designed by Uncommon.
The four custom cases are for iPhone 4 and 5 models and designs include:
- A stunning sunset as seen at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica
- Vibrant green tropical forest scene in Costa Rica
- Leaping white-faced monkey, commonly seen around the resort, pictured here
- Father and son kayaking on the waters of Peninsula Papagayo
At the start of the 24-hour digital detox, guests will receive a guide to 24 things to do without technology at Four Seasons Costa Rica. Possibilities include learning how to paddleboard, trying a coffee scrub at the Spa, enjoying fresh coconut water at the pool and more.
“We wanted to make it easy for guest to use technology to connect with us when they want—via social media, our website and new services like our Skype chin-in while enroute from the airport,” says Pascal Forotti, general manager, Four Seasons Costa Rica. “Working with Uncommon, we are also excited to provide guests a simple way to disconnect for a little while during their stay in our exotic and fun destination.”
