6 Los Angeles Spas We Love
Los Angeles has its icons. It’s a destination that stars in beauty and wellness, providing celebrities and us civilians alike VIP access to the latest skincare and beauty trends and spa treatments. Here are just six of the many top Los Angeles spas we love.
Vida Emanuel Day Spa – Beverly Hills
Beverly Hills residents have long retreated to Vida Emanuel for skincare services (it’s been in business 25-plus years), and now they can seek relaxation at this European day spa’s counterpart next door: Vida Emanuel Beverly Hills Beauty Lounge. À la carte spa and medi spa treatments create the spa menu, including injectables, threading, eyelash and hair extensions, manicures and pedicures, makeup application, permanent makeup, spray tanning and anti-aging therapies.
Olehenriksen Face Body Spa – Los Angeles
A beauty staple situated in Sunset Plaza on the star-studded Sunset Strip, Olehenriksen Face Body Spa is renowned for awarding clientele with results-oriented, amazing skincare and body treatments. Spa menu options: body “cocktails” such as the Cucumber Honey scrub-rinse-mask; advanced complexion treatments like the Signature Red Carpet Facial; and “on the glow” mobile services that come right to your home. Signature complexion therapies follow an eight-step ritual, complete with a full skincare analysis, extractions, lymphatic drainage, soundwave therapy, essential oils and hot/cold therapy.
dtox day spa – Los Angeles
Fun fact about dtox day spa: It’s been featured on The Ellen Show, The Voice and The Doctors. Another unique characteristic: The design esthetic. Unwind near the 15-foot waterfalls and oversized Buddha in the relaxation atrium and marvel at the exposed brick walls and 20-foot-high vaulted ceilings with handsome wood beams. Then, pamper yourself with a service off of the robust spa menu (dtox touts itself as being a HydraFacial MD® certified treatment center).
The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Los Angeles
The glamorous Ritz-Carlton Spa, Los Angeles, is a seriously chic sanctuary. Sip a glass of champagne upon arrival before rejuvenating with a spa treatment like the (fitting) Veuve Clicquot Collection of champagne-inspired services (the Golden Glow Facial is a lovely choice). Other luxury spa menu offerings highlight ESPA products and herbs and botanicals taken straight from the hotel’s rooftop garden.
Spa Pura – Montrose
Montrose, California is an upscale community that is part of greater Los Angeles – and home to one of our favorite L.A. escapes. We adore Spa Pura for its spaciousness—7,000 square feet in all—that juxtaposes with the spa’s boutique-style attitude. Sophisticated upgrades—like the hypermia radio frequency or LED (red light) for facials—enhance the spa menu; we also like that there are various Korean scrubs to try.
Bliss Spa at W Hollywood – Hollywood
The Bliss brand calls it “spa-llywood.” We simply call it divine. This Hollywood-located Bliss Spa sits over two levels—where you’ll find treatment areas, lounges, locker rooms, a nail salon and retail boutique—with all the trademark Bliss touches you’ve come to admire. Yes, that includes the brownie buffet. For true bliss, try the Fully Loaded Facial™ (it includes a deep-cleansing fruit acid wash and blast of O²) or the Ginger Rub™.
