Telehealth; Mind, Body and Soul
Telehealth in 2020
While we were moving towards Telehealth in 2020, Covid-19 has accelerated its progress. So what is the global impact and what can we expect in the near future?
Virtual Medical Appointments-
It’s been a long time coming. Long tired of waiting rooms for 5 minute appointments, the tech savvy can look at scheduling their appointments online with their physicians without stepping out of their home.
Branching out of CVS, Walgreens to provide local health checks
Simple testing, blood pressure and other minor health checks can be performed at these facilities. Paired with virtual medical appointments and delivery options, there should be an increase in recurring business at all of these facilities.
Physical Fitness:
Presently, movement continues to gain traction in the world, with Singapore moving into the forefront in physical activity. In the wake of Covid-19, fitness and wellness products are flying off shelves. In warmer weather, bikes and kayaks are hot sales items.
Video on demand, live streaming classes are baked into successful business models today. Whether it’s a small business that offers virtual wellness or its Peloton, an at home virtual experience where communities gather for rides and personal wellness mapping.
Mental Health:
Psychologists and psychiatrists have shifted towards tele patient meetings. No longer are you required facetime with your therapist but now it’s just a phone call away. Along with this shift, there’s been a surge of applications to aid with depression, anxiety, addiction and simple mind shifts. For a list of apps, click here.
